ESP LTD REX-600 4 String Bass Rex Brown Sample/Prototype Rare Bass Guitar
ESP LTD REX-600 4 String Bass Rex Brown Sample/Prototype Rare like Spector
ESP LTD Rex Brown signature Bass. This guitar was never put into production, I know of 3 of them. One from photos of Rex Brown Playing one circa 2009 (not this one) another I got and sold and this one.
I have heard various stories on how this bass came to be but dont know if the stories are true.
This is a sample/preproduction guitar. ESP makes the samples to test out various colors, finishes and to show to dealers prior to the actual model being built. They take them to shows like NAMM and start taking preorders for the new years model.
The guitar is in excellent condition, it does have some light pick marks (Rex is known to play with a pick at times so they might be his, I am not trying to talk this bass up but I do know that some of the ESP/LTD Sample/Prototype guitars do get sent out to the artists for inspection and trials to see if they will put their name on it and make changes from there...) I did not see any scratches other than what looks like the pick marks, the bass body does have a few minor waves in the paint but are not really noticeable. I dint not notice anything else but we all know you get an axe in different light and under a magnifying glass and you are bound to see something.
If you watch this video and look at about the 1:35 mark you can see the bass. (not this one just the same model, this one was not owned by Rex)
The guitar below is the other Rex we had not the same one just the same model.
